Care & safety

Treat them well,
and they’ll last.

A little care keeps everything beautiful, safe, and ready for the next evening.

Before first use

Clean any device or body-contact piece before its first use, and read the card enclosed with your ritual. If a product carries its own printed instructions on the carton or label, those always take precedence over anything written here.

Cleaning your devices

After each use, wash with warm water and a mild, unscented soap, or a dedicated toy cleaner. Dry fully with a clean, lint-free cloth before storing.

Our devices are fully waterproof, so they can be rinsed and washed directly. Still, never submerge a device while it’s charging, and make sure the charging port is completely dry before you connect the cable.

Choosing a lubricant

Match the lubricant to the material. Water-based lubricants are safe with everything — the simplest choice. Silicone-based lubricants should not be used with silicone toys, as they can degrade the surface over time. Oil-based products can weaken latex; avoid them with latex condoms.

Materials

Anything that touches skin is chosen to be body-safe — body-safe silicone, considered ingredients, nothing harsh. If you have sensitive skin or a known allergy, read the ingredient list on the product and patch-test first.

Storage

Store pieces clean, dry, and apart from one another — a soft pouch or the original box is ideal. Keep them out of direct sunlight and away from heat. Storing different materials in contact over long periods can cause some surfaces to react, so give each piece its own space.

Charging & batteries

Charge rechargeable devices fully before first use, using only the cable supplied. Don’t leave a device charging unattended for long periods, and store it partially charged if it won’t be used for a while.

A gentle note on the body

Listen to your body. Stop if anything is uncomfortable, and never use a product in a way it wasn’t intended. Nothing here is medical advice — if you have questions about your health, speak with a qualified healthcare professional.

Warranty & faults

Our devices carry a 15-day warranty from the date you receive them. If a device develops a fault, write to us at hello@oohla.world. This warranty is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which apply regardless of our warranty period — if a product isn’t of acceptable quality, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund as the law provides.
